Specialized establishments welcome children needing specific support.
IME (Medico-educational Institute) “Les Hamelines”
The establishment is approved to receive 76 children and young people aged six to 20: 40 in boarding school, 24 in half-boarding school and 12 in Specialized Home Care Education Service (SESSAD) presenting mild or medium intellectual deficiencies with disorders associates.
The establishment ensures:
- educational support, established according to the interests and abilities of each child
- medico-social monitoring to ensure the monitoring and treatment of known pathologies and disabilities
- rehabilitation and therapeutic workshops, through individual interviews or in small groups
- professional training, provided by workshop instructors and specialized technical educators
- educational support in boarding groups.

Bagnolaise association of parents and friends of people with mental disabilities. The IME works with different audiences.
The intellectually disabled:
Medical-Pedagogical Institute: day care for children aged 6 to 14. Educational support and specialized care.
Medical-Professional Institute: education, specialized care and pre-professional apprenticeship with boarding
Autistic children and adolescents:
SASEA (Specialized Reception Service for Autistic Children)
SASEA children: day care for children aged six to 12. Educational support and specialized care.
SASEA adolescents: boarding school for young people aged 12 to 20. Educational support and specialized care.
Education and specialized home care for children aged three to 16.
