Besançon, summer 1973. Following the acquisition of the Lip factory, a layoff plan was announced: they were "the 480 to be let go." Thus began one of the most emblematic strikes of the end of the "Thirty Glorious Years" for the workers of the factory, the flagship of French watchmaking, which would find an almost mythical echo in labor history.
