A FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE WORKS: LENA VANDREY
Museum
Le 15 February
Albert-André Museum
The "One-on-One with the Artworks" sessions are meetings with a cultural mediator in front of one or more works from the collections. On Sunday, February 15, at 14:30 p.m., the cultural mediator will present several works by Lena Vandrey.
Nicknamed "Insomnia" by Dubuffet, the artist Lena Vandrey developed an original body of work, marked by a free and multifaceted femininity. She died in 2018, living with her partner in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, where she had created her own Museum of Angels in an 18th-century townhouse. Today, the collection has been dispersed among several prestigious museums; the Bagnols-sur-Cèze museum has received a significant donation of her works, reflecting the plurality of themes dear to Lena Vandrey and the diversity of her artistic techniques, such as paintings, drawings, cut-outs, and sculptural objects.
Suitable for all audiences – duration 40 minutes – Free and without registration, subject to availability.
