Actions and sustainable development

This translates into concrete decisions, including:

• Paper savings and distribution of documents printed with recyclable paper;
• Digitization of procedures;
• Research into energy savings and improvement of the energy performance of municipal buildings, in particular through the renewal of public lighting with LED bulbs;
• Encouragement of gentle modes of travel (urban development) and the use of clean vehicles (installation of electric terminals, purchase of electric municipal vehicles) as well as the sharing economy (carpooling areas);
• Modernization of the drinking water supply and wastewater conveyance network in order to preserve the environment and limit waste of water resources;
• Maintenance of the banks of the Cèze and its riverine forest;
• Installation and development of shared gardens on the banks of the Cèze;
• Encouragement of organic and sustainable agriculture in supplying the City's central kitchen;
• Participation in the preservation of biodiversity through the establishment of urban beehives.
