Opposition political expressions

Should we elect a mayor or call in an exorcist? The question may seem absurd, but in certain situations, it's worth asking. When problems pile up, decisions appear irrational, and chaos becomes the norm, we hesitate between a political solution and a supernatural intervention. The mayor is supposed to embody reason, organization, and long-term vision. They promise, they reassure… at least in theory. The exorcist intervenes when all seems lost, when words are no longer enough, and something indefinable seems to possess the place. One works with budgets and city councils, the other with incense and prayers. Yet, both pursue the same goal: to restore order. The real problem isn't choosing between the two, but understanding why we end up confusing governance with spiritual deliverance. When reality becomes grotesque, humor sometimes remains the only way to cope.

Dear fellow citizens,
First of all, allow me to extend my best wishes for the year 2026.
May this new year bring joy, health and success to each and every one of you.
As an elected member of the opposition, I would like to reiterate the importance of respecting the electoral code and press pluralism during municipal elections.
Ensuring fair conditions for all candidates is essential for a healthy democracy.
Every voice deserves to be heard, and it is crucial that all contenders have equal access to the media to make their proposals heard.
I encourage you to remain vigilant and demand transparency from our institutions.
Together, let's ensure that each election truly reflects the will of the citizens.
This is how we will build a city where the debate of ideas is valued and respected.

"If they're so powerful that they put together a list." Ah, but finding 33 people will be tough. Finding voters will be even harder. Lots of "it's easy, we just have to," "we must," shadowy advisors, and others from the upper echelons, or rather, the gutter.
Their interests come before those of the people of Bagnols.
We see them infiltrating like lice into future lists, bringing their ideologies, dogmas, and other biases. It will be difficult to build the Bagnols of tomorrow with the "people" of yesterday.
The parties are no longer responding to the demands of the citizens, and yet our city is ready to live a new experience until 2032 with one.
Well, that will allow us to flush away the past.
The mediocrity of this campaign's start shouldn't make us forget that the magic of Christmas should be in everyone's eyes. I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. 2026 must bring us better days, but only you can decide that.
Jerome Jackel
Dear residents of Bagnols,
The recent wave of resignations within the majority team raises many questions about the sincerity and stability of our local governance.
The creation of a new supplementary or additional list raises questions about the true intentions of the political actors in place.
These combinations, deemed questionable, should not be the focus of our concerns during this festive period.
It is crucial that the political debate remains transparent and accessible to all, because everyone deserves to understand the issues that shape our community.
However, as we approach the end of the year, I believe we should savor these moments of reunion with our families and friends, far from political squabbles.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Enjoy these precious moments with your loved ones!
Let's take the time to come together and build the future of Bagnols sur Cèze together.

What have we learned about our city in recent months? An overexposure of our city in the media, on the
24/7 news channels, just like traditional channels. The same applies to the print media.
However, similar events are occurring in many other towns and villages in France. I'm not looking for
It shouldn't be minimized, but one question remains: is it simply media hype or a deliberate maneuver?

Ballot boxes. The problems are known. Now is the time for solutions.

In this month of November, when All Saints' Day invites us to reflect and pay our respects in memory of our deceased loved ones, it is deplorable to see that some are exploiting this sacred time to open up unnecessary and inappropriate controversies.
Is this really the time to engage in pointless arguments?
Shouldn't we focus on what's essential?
It is essential to administer our municipality effectively, for the well-being of the people of Bagnols.
This month should be dedicated to constructive actions and listening to the needs of our community.
Using national holidays and commemorations for political purposes is not only indecent, but it also undermines our cohesion and mutual respect.
Let us commit to building together a peaceful and united future for all, far from divisive rhetoric.
Let's focus on what's essential: taking action for our community and its residents.

The Maïa Footbridge, a questionable choice
The construction of the Maïa footbridge in Bagnols-sur-Cèze is causing serious concern.
With a forecast budget of 4,9 million euros, this expenditure could weigh heavily on our finances.
Currently, the municipality's budget is running a deficit of around 7 million euros in investment.
This project was decided without any real consultation with citizens, illustrating the mayor's unilateral desire to leave his mark, to the detriment of citizen participation.
We know perfectly well that even after study, the ecological impacts are alarming: the destruction of natural spaces endangers the fauna and flora of the Cèze.
It is crucial that Bagnolais people express their concerns and demand a more collaborative and environmentally conscious policy.
Will the Maïa footbridge become a financial burden for the people of Bagnoles or a genuine project serving the citizens?
Only time will tell...

Opposition elected officials: scarecrow or kingmaker?
Often relegated to the background, opposition elected officials play an essential role in a democracy. Scarecrows for the majority, they denounce, alert, question, and serve as a counterweight to power. Their vigilance prevents abuses, promotes transparency, and proposes alternatives. But their influence is not limited to criticism. In the event of a fragile majority or close elections, they can become kingmakers. Their strategic votes influence decisions, weigh on coalitions, and sometimes determine the outcome of a project or an election. Far from being mere extras, they oscillate between countervailing power and the power to influence. Their effectiveness depends on their consistency and their ability to embody a credible alternative, likely to one day become the majority.
Jerome Jackel
Concern is brewing, and that's understandable! We're making headlines, but rest assured, it's all a mirage.
After the Kalaschs, now the letters of intent of the bands are presented as a solution for a better "customer relations".
DIY services, shopping assistance... Faced with this reality, the municipality is no longer able to compete.
Our young people, on the front line, are under pressure from traffickers.
It is by taking care of them, by offering them alternatives and activities, that we can keep them away from delinquency.
When fiction becomes more reassuring than our daily lives, it is time to act.
Let's reoccupy public space, fill the void with popular festivals, events, and popular education initiatives.
Let's reinvest in our neighborhoods that have been abandoned for too long.
Music, culture, education… This is the key to restoring life and hope to Bagnols.
Let us commit to a future where every resident feels valued and listened to.

In 2026, it’s time for your desires!
Books of grievances have been posted in several locations throughout the municipality to gather your ideas, needs, and expectations. This participatory democracy approach aims to build a municipal program based on your realities and what matters to you.
Your proposals will not be mere suggestions: they will be the basis of a collective project, designed with you and for you.
In September, a public restitution will allow all the contributions to be presented and priorities for the future of Bagnols to be drawn up together.
Every voice counts.
Every idea has its place.
This project is a real opportunity to strengthen the bond between elected officials and residents, to restore meaning to local commitment and to build a community that reflects your image.
Let’s mobilize for a vibrant, inclusive and ambitious city.
Together, let's make 2026 a year that truly reflects you.

Loyalty in politics is an essential virtue, though it is often tested. It denotes a sincere commitment to one's beliefs, party, voters, and democratic principles. A loyal political leader betrays neither the ideals they defend nor trust. This loyalty does not preclude criticism or independence of mind, but it requires consistency in action and discourse. Loyalty protects against opportunism and about-faces motivated by personal ambition or self-interest. It strengthens credibility, promotes stability, and nurtures the bond of trust between the people of Bagnoles and their representatives. However, loyalty must never be blind: remaining loyal to a party or leader does not justify abandoning one's ethics. True loyalty in politics consists of remaining faithful to the common good above all else.
Jerome Jackel
I would like to share my feelings after attending the neighborhood meeting at the Citadel on May 26, one week after the shootings.
It is sad to note that neither the mayor, nor the first deputy mayor, nor the deputy for security were present.
This gives the impression of a headlong flight from responsibilities in matters of security.
Their failure to listen and discuss the residents' anxieties is a lack of respect.
During this meeting, I proposed the implementation of "tiny" mobile police stations to restore community policing. Unfortunately, my proposal went unanswered, as is often the case when the opposition suggests solutions.
This spectacle contributes to an anxious and dangerous climate in our city.
I reiterate the importance of constructive dialogue and the presence of elected officials to reassure our fellow citizens.
Let's make sure everyone feels heard and protected.
Let's not leave our security in inactive hands!

STOP OR MORE?
After 20 years of renunciation, our city is riddled with drug trafficking, but the Mayor, out of dogmatism, has always refused to face reality and take adequate security measures.
As a result of this policy of permanent renunciation, teachers and their students have been threatened with death by drug dealers simply because they were making noise and this was disrupting the illicit trade of these criminals.
The following Monday, the Baccalaureate sports exams were due to take place at this stadium, but as the town hall and the state were unable to ensure the safety of students and teachers, the exams were simply cancelled.
As for the dealers, they continue their trafficking with impunity in full view of everyone.
The lack of response from the town hall and the State is unacceptable; it is nothing more than a deafening silence that sends an inconceivable message that it is up to citizens to adapt to criminals…. Such abandonment is unacceptable because it is the mayor's responsibility to ensure the safety of his fellow citizens. The people of Bagnoles have the right to a normal life; it is not inevitable, it is a right.
The choice of the society in which they want to live will soon belong to the people of Bagnoles, so stop or continue?
Jerome Jackel
It is time to address the continued absence of our MP, Ms. Bordes, from municipal and community council meetings.
While she never makes herself available to discuss the issues facing our city, she nevertheless knows how to join in festive events such as an afternoon of bowls, a garage sale or the strawberry festival.
This situation is worrying.
Being present at the council meeting means working on issues that affect our daily lives. Her absence has consequences: she did not vote against the €600 deposit for the now-closed market halls, nor against the €000 pledged for Bagnols Plage, an activity that has now ended.
Moreover, the attractiveness of our city remains very insufficient.
With empty halls for which we have pledged a significant amount, a renowned reggae festival halted, and the comic book festival also over, we urgently need to rethink our future.
It is time to react and act to revitalize our beautiful city.
Olivier Wiry
Spring is finally here. A time conducive to neighborhood meetings with a single slogan: "From tomorrow everything will be like yesterday", not forgetting the famous "it's not us it's the metropolitan area".
Spring also heralds a time of conviviality, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year: Neighborhood Day. Creating or recreating connections over a drink or something else.
Spring calls for optimism and always this common desire to restore the tarnished image of our city.
Through the random encounters mentioned above, ideas are emerging and skills are emerging. This is a good sign for the upcoming elections.

Cycle paths: progress or fiasco?
In Bagnols, cycle paths were supposed to promote soft mobility. But on the ground, the reality is quite different. In several neighborhoods, they have become unplanned parking lots, overrun with cars and trash due to a lack of available spaces. The result: impassable roads, endangered cyclists, and impossible coexistence.
How did it get to this point? Motorists no longer know where to park. Were these improvements designed to be detrimental to drivers? The massive removal of parking spaces has stifled traffic without offering a credible alternative.
Encouraging soft mobility is a must, but not at the cost of creating chaos for other users. Bagnols deserves a balanced, coherent, and respectful transportation policy. Today, these choices are far too divisive.
And we are still waiting for aid for the purchase of bicycles, as is the case elsewhere.
Jerome Jackel
Work, work, always work...!
It seems that the frenzy of construction sites only appears as elections approach.
It is customary, at the end of a mandate, to pull out all the stops to make a splash... and try to make people forget the years of lackluster management.
But at what cost? The bill, however, is likely to be quite steep.
And above all, where is the appeal? Where is the tranquility of walking around? Where is the soul of Bagnols?
While the concrete is poured, our city is being emptied of its identity, its life, its inhabitants.
By the time you read these lines, it will be 17 years since the same trio (RCT) has been running the commune.
The real question today is simple: should we continue like this, or finally give Bagnols a breath of fresh air?
It's up to you, Bagnolais citizen, to make your choice and to do so, don't forget to register on the electoral roll to vote in 2026.

More and more of you are reading the opposition's words on the various media of the town hall. This allows us to exchange regularly and in the face of the ambient gloom of this gloomy start to the year and because it is better to laugh about it than to cry: Who am I?
He is now for socialism,
He is for communitarianism
and for capitalism.
Because he is opportunistic.
There are those who dispute
Who claim and who protest
He only makes one gesture
he turns his jacket, always on the right side
He is not afraid of profiteers
Not even agitators
He trusts the voters
And takes the opportunity to make his money
There are those who dispute
Who claim and who protest
He only makes one gesture
He turns his jacket, always on the right side
He turned her around so much
That it cracks on all sides
At the next election,
he turns his pants inside out.

After Jean-Yves does his shopping or Jean-Yves goes to school, the mayor of Bagnols-sur-Cèze publishes Carnet de maire, a book that, like his record, seems to lack substance. With few pages for several terms, the book leaves one perplexed about the depth of the actions carried out and the reflections shared. Presented as a testimony of his time at the head of our municipality, it looks more like a communication exercise than a real record or an in-depth analysis of local issues. Residents looking for answers or a clear vision for the future risk being left wanting more. Summarizing 18 years of office in a few pages seems as insignificant as the record he leaves behind.
Jerome Jackel
Bagnols, the city of gentle travel?
While our beautiful town is facing major challenges – the exodus of our youth, medical desertification and the desperate emptiness of our main arteries – the priority seems to be placed on the bicycle.
Certainly, the development of cycle paths and footbridges is commendable, but at what cost?
The people of Bagnolais have much more pressing concerns: filling their fridge, paying their bills, getting around safely. Our fellow citizens need pleasant living spaces, meeting places to flourish as a family.
Is it really relevant to force our residents to favour cycling when so many other issues remain unanswered?
It is time to refocus our efforts on the real expectations of Bagnolais(es).
Let us not lose sight of the essential: the well-being of all must come before an ideology of displacement.
Together, let's work towards a city where everyone finds their place, regardless of the means of transport.

Is the municipal councilor a whistleblower? He can be a whistleblower, particularly when he highlights practices or decisions that go against the public interest, transparency or ethics. As an elected official, he is responsible for defending democratic values and reporting dysfunctions or illegal behavior in municipal management. When a councilor discovers irregularities or compromising situations, he has a duty to report, whether within the institutions or through external organizations, in accordance with the collective interest. Thus, he plays an essential monitoring role to ensure serene management and maintain the trust of the citizen.
I do not forget to wish you the best wishes for 2025, may they be as numerous as the skeletons in the closet of the majority, which will painfully finish its term.
Jerome Jackel
The mayor's call to the Minister of the Interior for urgent intervention raises questions about the responsibility of our municipality, in place for almost 18 years.
Our once vibrant neighborhoods are now abandoned, victims of poor management that has led to insecurity and degradation.
By requesting state aid, the mayor is acknowledging the scale of a disaster resulting from local choices.
Promises of revitalization have not been followed by concrete actions, leaving residents in increasing distress.
It is crucial to understand that the solution does not rest solely on the State, but on a real commitment from the municipality.
Citizens deserve effective measures and political will to redress the situation.
This open letter should be a catalyst for urgent change.
Let's not let our neighborhoods deteriorate any longer while waiting for outside help.
The responsibility to act lies with those in power.

A city whose mayor is the hero. With a big communication stunt, like product placement, paid for by your taxes.
An electoral campaign that has been conducted at a cracking pace since the previous election and which is accelerating as 2026 approaches. The mayor saves his city from covid (Chapelix), builds a wall, inaugurates a multi-purpose hall like our resident of the republic inaugurates Notre Dame, writes and dedicates a book, destroys the heritage, changes the signs.
The list is not exhaustive and ultimately quite funny.
December 24th is coming soon and maybe you will have him coming down your chimney to bring you your presents?
Any resemblance to a comic book heroine who experiences simple adventures rooted in everyday life would be coincidental.
Jerome Jackel
In Bagnols-sur-Cèze, the mayor's ego seems to have become the measure of everything.
The new pyramid is me, Avenue Paul Langevin is me, Place Pierre Boulot is me, the road signs are me, the Club House is me and even the train station is just me...
But where are the deputies, where are the advisers, the associations?
Their systematic forgetting is laughable, as if our city was just one person.
It is nevertheless essential to remember that these achievements are largely the fruit of the efforts of the people of Bagnolais.
Thanks to their participation in the land, which increases every year, these projects are made possible.
Residents deserve more recognition for their essential contributions to our community.
Despite these excesses, I would like to wish all Bagnolais(es) a happy holiday season.
Let us hope that the future of our city will be more collective and respectful of everyone.

Intimidation of an elected official is punishable by the Code of Criminal Procedure in Article 433-3. "A threat to commit a crime or offence against persons or property made against a person holding a public elective mandate shall be punishable by three years' imprisonment and a fine of 45 euros."
Indeed, when I decide to vote against a subsidy to an animal association for lack of accounting documents, noise and olfactory nuisances. I do it. Thank you to the colleagues of the opposition for their votes.
These intimidations allowed me to investigate and discover other damning facts. Of course, if one of the executives of this association is close to the power in place, I don't care. Of course it's only 1000 euros (several times a year all the same). Many other associations would like to benefit from it without swindling the average person from Bagnolais.

A Casimir recipe…
In an unexpected turnaround, the mayor, who had previously shown his support for Macron by calling Macronism his "left", is now moving closer to the president of the region, Carole Delga (PS).
This political mishmash, where alliances are formed and deformed according to interests, is challenging.
Let us recall that he had ejected his PS assistants, displaying a desire for a break.
Today, he seems to forget his past promises, even flirting with those he had rejected.
What about the 2026 elections?
Will the PS's former allies cling to him, or will they realise that this manoeuvre is a mere illusion?
The citizens caught up in this hesitation waltz deserve better than a Casimir recipe, which treats them like children.
It is time to demand clear policies and sincere commitments, far from opportunistic alliance games.
Transparency is essential to rebuilding trust.

Bladders for lanterns.
At a time when savings and practicality must guide our choices, our municipality seems to be moving away from the expectations of the population. The laborious completion of the new Escanaux concert hall, a soulless building, illustrates this gap. This project, which painfully replaces an exceptional monument, not only demonstrates a disregard for our original heritage but above all betrays a lack of discernment. Because during this time, the streets of our city are in a pitiful state, after the garbage that accumulated, gaping holes reappear revealing a flagrant lack of maintenance. These choices, out of step with the real needs of citizens, indicate ill-advised management. It is high time that our elected officials become aware of the priorities and aspirations of the people of Bagnolais, by placing the well-being of residents at the heart of their decisions.
Jerome Jackel
Dear Bagnolais, dear Bagnolais
Today, I would like to draw your attention to a public expenditure that raises many questions: the investment of almost 5 million euros for the MAIA footbridge. This project, although ambitious, was decided without any real consultation with the population.
With our public finances already under pressure, it is crucial to question how our funds are allocated.
These expenses, if not justified by informed opinions and open debates, risk increasing investments in the years to come.
Investing without consultation means taking the risk of spending public money inefficiently, to the detriment of projects that really meet the needs of our community.
It is time to demand more transparency and citizen participation in the management of our resources.
Together, let us commit to a more responsible policy, which places the collective interest at the heart of each decision.
Olivier Wiry
The city is celebrating the 80th anniversary of its liberation by arms while others are preparing another liberation that will take place by ballot in 18 months. Let us hope that the occupation for 3 terms ends with a renewal of the local political landscape that needs it. It is not personal ambition, excessive egos or old grudges that should animate the next lists but rather the concern to know what will be good for the city and its inhabitants.
This celebration also reminded us that our city has a history, often unknown to new generations. A past that can be traced from the Middle Ages to the atomic age, including the revolution and of course the two great wars. So after the noise of pots and pans, the sound of history? Which would be much more likely to unite the population in these austere times.

It is important to wish all families a good start to the school year. Especially to all those who will not benefit from any help. Whether it is the back-to-school allowance, the back-to-sports allowance, scholarships, the various social funds for middle school, high school and canteens, and I am certainly forgetting some. You who also had no help to send your children on vacation this summer. Happy back-to-school to a class that is disappearing: the middle class. I hope you move up to the upper class, but in these times we are heading more towards the lower class of low incomes, waiting for an announced financial crisis.
You will also not get any help with your water bill and even less with the incentive fee (which also arrives at the same time as the start of the school year.)
Jerome Jackel
The municipality has shown a flagrant lack of seriousness by acting as guarantor for the case of the market halls which closed after only 16 months of opening.
Furthermore, the lack of transparency regarding the absence of a building permit for the Carcaixent wasteland project (former Monoprix) is unacceptable. Citizens deserve to be informed clearly and honestly about the decisions taken by their elected representatives.
At the same time, while developments outside the city are flourishing, the city's arteries are dying. The main streets are abandoned, shops are closing one after the other due to lack of visibility and attractiveness. It is time for the municipality to focus on the essentials and breathe new life into our city center.
It is high time to review the municipality's priorities and act responsibly and transparently. Citizens deserve serious and efficient management of their city, and it is our duty to ensure this.

It is in moments of crisis that people reveal themselves. If the French political class has lost credibility in recent weeks, it must be noted that locally it is the same.
Summer is finally here, just like the pots dragged by the minority majority: The water price, the management of trash cans, the mosque closed or not?), the holes and bumps present on the roads (pumptrack before the 'hour?), the crater of the monoprix, ... A real non-exhaustive Prevert inventory.
Finally, I wish you an excellent summer ahead, despite galloping inflation and the prevailing gloom, it is still possible to reasonably enjoy the riches of our surroundings.
Jerome Jackel
One hell of a summer…
This summer, the town was the scene of a sad reality for local merchants and restaurateurs. The lack of summer visitors was glaring, reflecting the lack of attractiveness and enhancement of heritage, leaving a lost identity. The absence of the world-renowned reggae festival (Bagnols Reggae Festival), Kingston sur Cèze, is proof of this.
Residents and visitors were deprived of a major cultural event that could have boosted the flagging local economy.
As the start of the political year approaches, citizens are waiting for concrete answers. Questions concerning economic development (on the market halls), the promotion of local culture (festivals and fairs) and the revitalization of the town remain unanswered (where is the CAP Bagnols going).
It is time for current leaders to take their responsibilities and act to restore our town to its lost shine and dynamism.

Since my arrival, as an independent opposition representative, my commitment has always been guided by a desire for transparency, listening and citizen participation. The recent events that have shaken our municipality confirm the importance of its fundamental values. The current management of our municipality is marked by a worrying opacity. Important decisions are often taken without prior consultation with residents or opposition elected officials. Local democracy cannot be limited to a simple electoral meeting every six years, it must be vibrant, continuous and inclusive. Together, we can build a fairer, greener and more united city. On the evening of the results of the European elections, the rout of the presidential party is eloquent and proves once again the disavowal of the people. Our resident of the republic will therefore decide to dissolve the national assembly.
The first decision I like in this man. Everything happens.
Locally the reverse is just as eloquent. The results placing the presidential party dear to our majority in fourth position. A sign of a disavowal that is also intended to be local.
At the end of the announced defeat of the candidate of the local presidential party sent to the legislative butchery (or of the candidate), our councilor will have to take his responsibilities and make a decision close to his mentor.
At the citizens' polls, saving cohabitation is close at national level.

Neighborhood meetings
PRM, trash cans, roads, rodeos, tranquility, Bagnols dormitory town and the eternal problems of speed and sidewalks.
One year after the next, meetings follow one another in the city's neighborhoods but they pass and the citizens do not see the evolution.
“It is true that we have been paying for our arrears for years, says the majority”
Having participated in numerous meetings, I was able to listen to the grievances of the people of Bagnole and understand that words that are not followed by any effect are counted for nothing.
Taxes too expensive!
For the majority of citizens, the state of the city does not reflect the tax rates paid (59,50%)
Aging sports infrastructures, a disintegrated city center, a lost identity.
Questions like: “Where are we going today with you?” »
Promises, words…!
Only citizens want proof and action because for them: taxes are useless if the city does not improve.

Having brought together a citizen group committed to participatory democracy, today the ambition is to carry out a program for 2026.
However, several obstacles could hinder our path to town hall.
The inertia of mentalities and political structures established for years could constitute a major obstacle.
The transition from representative to participatory democracy will require profound change and resistance to the status quo could be strong.
The weight of partisan interests and established networks could oppose our innovative vision for the city.
The RN, although present in the elections, could continue to exercise significant influence as an opponent.
The mobilization and support of citizens for the participatory democracy project will be essential to overcome the obstacles.
Communication, transparency and trust will be key elements in rallying citizens around our candidacy and our ideas.
Olivier Wiry
Is the team's mandate one mandate too many?
We are before a majority team criticized for its lack of transparency, its ineffectiveness or its inability to resolve the city's key problems, and proposing divisive deliberations. So, yes, their third term is questionable. Many of us believe that it is time for a change and that a new team must be given the opportunity to govern and implement new ideas in consultation with residents in less than 24 months from now. I remain a fervent defender of “Bagnolais who are no longer consulted on anything”
The election in the neighboring town showed the expulsion by the ballot box of the outgoing councilor, the slap in the face and the advent of a local child elected in the first round with a high participation rate. What about our city in less than two years? Let us hope for the same thing in our country.

Let’s bring Bagnols together
TERMINATION OR NOT TERMINATION?
On April 2, 2024, the Municipal Council voted to terminate the lease linking the commune of Bagnols to the AMGR Association, within which the “infamous” imam MAHJOUBI gave sulphurous sermons, until his expulsion.
The administrative judge validated this expulsion by holding that the imam had uttered, in the context of his sermons, explicitly, deliberately and on several occasions discriminatory remarks against women, implying that women could not benefit from the same freedoms or the same rights as men.
The judge also found against this character comments that undermined the fundamental interests of the State, calling into question the values of the Republic by praising jihad and sharia (Islamic law).
If the termination of the lease voted by the Council is a good thing, it is however necessary to be very careful because the mayor of BSC indicated at the end of the council that following this termination everything was possible!!!
Does this imply the signing of a “bis” lease with this association which allowed sermons to be delivered in its premises that harm the fundamental interests of the State, without ever denouncing them?????
Jerome Jackel
The mayor's failure to respect secularism is a serious matter.
Despite the law which ordered an RN mayor to allow the Muslim community to have a decent place to celebrate Eid, the mayor of the town remains intransigent.
It is a violation of republican principles and accentuates the already open divide.
Furthermore, during the last council meeting, the mayor exceeded his prerogatives by ordering the microphone to be cut when a legitimately elected official asked for explanations on his decisions.
This authoritarian and undemocratic attitude is unacceptable.
The climate within the municipal team is tense and it shows. The dissensions between the majority elected officials are palpable.
It is imperative that everyone remembers their primary mission: to serve the general interest and respect the democratic and secular rules that govern our society.
It is time for transparency and respect to be restored within our municipality.
The citizens really deserve it!

In a democracy, every vote counts. The refusal of a mayor to let his majority express itself in response to the opposition is undemocratic. This hinders debate, compromises transparency and harms the representativeness of decisions. Such behavior betrays the trust of voters and undermines the legitimacy of the municipal institution. Elected officials must respect democratic principles and promote open dialogue where all opinions are taken into account.
When the mayor interrupts his own majority to answer questions from the opposition, he compromises the democratic functioning of the institution he is supposed to lead. Such an attitude demonstrates a blatant disregard for political pluralism and the diversity of opinions within the municipal council. By doing so, the mayor shows that he prioritizes his own political interests over the well-being of the community he is supposed to serve.
Is this really what the Bagnolais deserve?

In our city where problems seem to multiply more quickly than solutions, it is tempting to fall into the trap of incessantly listing them.
Let's stop repeating the same laments and start exploring new ideas. Every problem is an opportunity in disguise, a challenge to be faced with creativity and determination, adopting an incisive style.
By joining forces, we can find lasting solutions that will benefit everyone.
It’s time to move from passivity to reflection. Each solution found is a victory, one more step towards a better future.
Ultimately, stopping listing problems and focusing on solutions is a choice. It is a choice that requires courage, resilience and perseverance. But it is also a choice that can change our city.

Closed businesses, regulated emergencies, drugs, Kalashnikovs, communitarianism have taken a monopoly. A non-exhaustive list that makes our city headlines in the national, regional and local media. This over-media coverage will tarnish the image of our city and will leave irreversible consequences. The main fact is that the majority has definitively lost the “relative” confidence of citizens. Indeed, since their arrival in office in 2008, the city has been subject to exacerbated communitarianism due to clientelism aimed at securing a reservoir of votes for the elections. Recent local news sadly demonstrates this to us with the case of a Bagnolese imam close to local power, expelled from the national territory. #imamgate.

In the absence of clean hands, incivility has a good back!
It is with great irritation that many people from Bagnols discovered the municipality's odious little pamphlet in the latest edition of ''Bagnols moves''!
Indeed, while our fellow citizens have largely accepted the principle of an incentive fee, they are nevertheless very numerous and very legitimate to deplore its catastrophic implementation.
Also, denouncing the incivility of the ''dishonest citizen who does not want to understand anything'' in an attempt to clear the municipal and agglomeration councilors of their calamitous management is, to say the least, unworthy, because in terms of waste collection the The obligation to achieve results largely and imperatively takes precedence over the obligation of means alone.
It is therefore with those in charge that it is appropriate to seek...the responsibilities...and not in a confused manner from those who collectively suffer from unforeseen circumstances...and the heaps that result from it.

As a political opponent, I raise a crucial question regarding the future of our city:
- The three-term rule has damaged its attractiveness and essence.
- The long domination of a municipal team has led to stagnation, inaction and lack of innovation.
- The choices have sometimes lacked vision, creativity and boldness to meet current challenges and anticipate the future.
- The attractiveness of our city has suffered from a lack of investment in infrastructure, public services, culture, tourism and the economy.
- The needs of residents have been relegated to the background in favor of political considerations.
- The soul of the city, its uniqueness, its history and its cultural richness have faded under routine management and devoid of renewal.

Is the opposition municipal councilor a decorative object that the majority makes visible when it is useful?
The role of an opposition elected official does not consist only of raising their hand (whether we vote for or against our opinion does not count). Because even in a minority opposition we are committed to accomplishing our mission as elected officials in the service of all, despite differences of point of view.
Commissions like municipal councils are top-down information chambers to advise the majority's choices but the projects are already being finalized.
I denounce the paradox of communication which wishes to involve as many people as possible, but which excludes those who think differently in order to reduce their influences.
I also denounce the fact of presenting the actions of the mayor and his municipal council as part of communication, rather than the mayor and his majority team. (The opposition not participating).

Our democracy is sick and must be healed, yet the denial of democracy continues relentlessly in Bagnols!
Those responsible and I will never stop denouncing it are the dinosaurs in place for 18 years of reign.
Last significant fact and this no longer affects only the Bagnolais(es): during the last municipal council "Philippe" was ordered by the 1st councilor to keep quiet about a question which had been asked and for which the Mayor only provided a very fragmented response and not at all convincing (video on the city's FB).
Yet the opposition is there to keep democracy alive!
However, a form of democracy begins from an early age with the education of our children: parents instill values and rules which does not prevent the child from expressing themselves and asserting their ideas and opinions within of the family.
The result is clear, the Bagnolais are tired of these practices and the last 63% of abstentions are the most telling barometer.
