The Committee of Wise Men
The Committee of Wise Men was set up by the municipality in 2008. It is made up of personalities from different backgrounds, all known for their involvement in the life of the community, who make their skills and knowledge available to the municipality. .
This Committee of Wise Men defines itself as a force of reflection with the objective of defending local collective interests while taking into account the rights and duties of citizens. It is a secular, independent and non-partisan body, it does not hold any executive power.
The meetings of the Committee of Wise Men of Bagnols-sur-Cèze are held in the Town Hall. The Committee is subject to internal regulations which were voted on by the Municipal Council.
Regularly renewed by new members, the Committee works on substantive issues. The Committee also carried out important work on the nomination of places. Another example of intervention: at the time of the development of the Local Urban Plan, the Committee of Wise Men was consulted to give an opinion.
