EHPAD Le Bosquet
The accommodation establishment for dependent elderly people (EHPAD) “Le Bosquet – Les Coquelicots”, managed by the City of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, employs around fifty health professionals and has 77 rooms. The work, started in 2019, was slowed down by the COVID pandemic and the new establishment, completely rebuilt, opened its doors in September 2022.
This building replaces the old “Le Bosquet senior home”, built at the end of the 1960s, which no longer met the requirements of a modern health establishment.
Located in the city center of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, the EHPAD “Le Bosquet – Les Coquelicots” accommodates 77 beds for dependent elderly people, in a building of almost 17 m2, spread over three floors, with also a basement reserved for logistics premises.
The ground floor brings together several clearly identifiable and identifiable functions: a hall-reception area / living space, which serves the administrative area, the management, the secretariat, a rest room and a meeting room. The reception hall is a generous space, marked by the presence of a central landscaped patio, which gives a peaceful atmosphere to the establishment. It is lit by skylights in the roof terrace. This reception hall is the microcosm of a village square, around which the hairdressing salon and the physiotherapy room are organized.
The main living room, adjoining a modular activity room, opens onto the main circulation. These two rooms visually overlook an outdoor green space. Opposite the entertainment room is the dining room. It is open on its entire facade onto a small, well-protected terrace, facing east. The reheating office is located in the extension of the dining room. As an extension of the living space on the ground floor, you access the secure unit dedicated to disoriented people (15 beds, segmented into two units of seven and eight beds) with a large living space made up of a dining room, a living room, an activity room and a private garden.
On the first and second floor are the accommodation units (31 beds on each floor).
The Care center (infirmary, doctor's office and health manager) located on the first floor is easily accessible and opposite the elevator.
From an architectural point of view, the approach chosen consisted of a language in harmony with the environmental character of the place and the character of the former EHPAD: use of materials in warm and light tones with facade coatings in ocher tones . The institute is also equipped with solar panels.
This new building was designed and designed to provide pleasant and modern reception conditions, facilitate the care of residents thanks to a design adapted to the loss of autonomy while facilitating the working conditions of staff. This new establishment also makes it possible to meet the needs relating to the care of people with cognitive disorders thanks to an adapted, secure space offering a peaceful and family setting.
