City Heart Action
The “City heart action” plan to build the Bagnols of tomorrow!
Initiated by the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion, the government plan “City Heart Action” aims to support medium-sized towns working to revitalize their city centers for five years with financial support and personalized support.
Keen to strengthen its attractiveness as a central city in the heart of the Rhone Gard, Bagnols-sur-Cèze was chosen to integrate this innovative system which concerns 222 French towns.
Concretely, “Action heart of the city” will supervise and support the actions undertaken by the City in the areas of housing, commerce, digital coverage, mobility and the development of heritage while targeting a specific area. operational defined in consultation with local stakeholders.
With the implementation of this program, Bagnols-sur-Cèze is continuing its efforts in favor of the city center and its developments. The work on Place Jean-Jaurès and the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church already bears witness to this.
The partners of the City, State, Caisse des Dépôts, Action Logement, National Housing Agency, Region and Department are jointly mobilized to support, through their financing and support, an ambitious urban project to change the appearance of Bagnols-sur-Cèze .

Town Center House
The Maison Cœur de Ville is a local service designed to support housing renovation in the greater city center area. Located at 1 rue du Général Teste, it welcomes homeowners, tenants, project developers, and investors who benefit from free, high-quality support in defining renovation projects, preparing grant applications, and liaising with partners, particularly those involved in combating substandard housing.
The Maison Cœur de Ville houses the offices of professionals and technical experts trained to help applicants improve the quality of housing in setting up projects with partners and to obtain financial assistance according to the regulations in force (from 25 to 80% of the amount of the project depending on resources).
Possible subsidies
- ANAHcan finance between 25% and 80% of the amount of the work excluding VAT, depending on the conditions of the work and the resources.
- The City of Bagnols-sur-Cèze finances and supplements the subsidies granted by the ANAH of 10 to 20% of the amount of the work excluding VAT.

- Energy efficiency improvement work: better heating, insulation and proper ventilation of your home…
- Renovation work on dilapidated housing: securing the premises, removing substandard housing…
- Adaptation and accessibility work to help an elderly person or a person with a disability to live better in their home.
- In the case of unsanitary housing: bringing into compliance with safety standards (electricity, dangerous heating), sanitation of housing (treatment of humidity problems, infiltrations or the presence of mold), eradication of dangerous materials (removal of asbestos and lead), structural renovation (reinforcement of foundations, repair of cracks, treatment of risks related to collapse).

A specific measure aimed at co-owned properties was added in May 2023. Mandated by the City, the selected consulting firm is responsible for assisting the co-owners, providing free information on both financial and administrative management as well as on maintenance and work to be carried out in the common areas.
