City contract
The town of Bagnols sur Cèze has been involved in the Rhone Gard town contract since 2015. The new “Neighborhood Commitments 2030” contract has been signed for the period 2024-2030. It aims to locally implement city policy which is a policy of urban cohesion and solidarity, national and local, towards disadvantaged neighborhoods and their inhabitants. This policy is led by the State, local authorities and their groups with the common objective of ensuring equality between territories, reducing development gaps between disadvantaged neighborhoods and their urban units and improving conditions of life of their inhabitants (Article 1 of the planning law for the City and Social Cohesion of February 21, 2014).

Modification of the priority geography, with in Bagnols-sur-Cèze an extension of the QPV to the west and north of avenue Vigan-Braquet, and taking into account the “pocket of vulnerability” of the old city center.
The priority district:

- 4 inhabitants – median annual income 000 euros.
- 4 inhabitants out of the 006 inhabitants of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, or 18% of the population in QPV (349 census).
- 18% of households taxed.
- 26% of QPV households have an income composed entirely of social benefits.
- 84,2% of the population has no diploma or a level below the Baccalaureate.
- 736 job seekers (all categories).
- 34,4% of jobs are precarious jobs.
- Young people aged under 25 represent 34,5% of the QPV population.
- 93,4% of tenant households.
- 51.8% (compared to 17.5% for the EPCI) of the population of the QPV of Bagnols-sur-Cèze lives below the poverty line (around €1/month).
- Each year as part of a call for projects under the city contract, the proposed actions are financed by city policy partners.
The deadline for submitting applications is November 30, 2025. Project leaders must contact the Gard Rhodanien City Contract team before submitting their application on the various platforms.
